I am a teacher and these worked great for my first graders. The pieces stayed together well so we didn’t get any messes when they were emptying them. My students used them for their pencils but mostly for their colored pencils. They kept them in their pencil boxes and we didn’t have any mess in there either! It stayed sharp and sharpened well and easily!! I bought another set recently to donate for our backpack drive at church.
